Mom's Cornbread


I'm finally back! I started cooking again this week and I have Girls Dinner Club tomorrow night. I know next week will be crazy. I will post as much as I can!

Mom's Cornbread

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Combine the above ingredients.

Add to it:
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/4 cup oil

Mix well, pour into a Pam sprayed square or round 9 inch pan. Bake at 425 for 20-25 minutes.

You can add cheese or red peppers to the batter before baking.
